Renewable energy self-production South Italy: grants up to 65% for photovoltaic systems

The Renewable Energy Self-Production South Italy call is open from December 3, 2025 to July 3, 2026 for installing photovoltaic, thermo-photovoltaic systems and storage in Southern regions. The incentive provides capital grants up to 65% for small enterprises, with ranking evaluation.

Beneficiaries and eligible areas

All companies with production units in industrial areas of municipalities with population over 5,000 in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily can access.
Requirements: standard accounting, at least one approved balance sheet or tax return, no relocation in previous two years.
Excluded: coal, primary agriculture, fishing sectors and fossil fuel-related projects.

Projects and grant intensity

Fundable: photovoltaic and thermo-photovoltaic systems for self-consumption and electrochemical storage. Grant: 58%/48%/38% (small/medium/large) for photovoltaic, 63%/53%/43% for thermo-photovoltaic, 48%/38%/28% for storage. Increases: +5% for registry modules category B/C, +2% for category A or ISO 50001 certification. Maximum grant: 30 million euros per company. Maximum costs: 1,050-1,800 euros/kW (photovoltaic), 1,750-2,500 euros/kW (thermo-photovoltaic), 900 euros/kWh (storage).

Constraints and procedures

Maximum three applications per company on different units. Project on existing buildings, energy for self-consumption, excess donated to GSE for 20 years. Required certified technical report. Completion within 18 months of grant. Disbursement: 30% advance with guarantee or progress payment + balance. Ranking evaluation with 2.5 points bonus for legality rating or gender equality.
